Recipe – Pretzel Turkeys

Shout out to Mommy Octopus for this recipe and presentation! What a cute and adorable little snack for Thanksgiving. At our house we always have little snacks through out the day so we do not sit down on empty stomachs, but not so heavy we cannot enjoy the main meal of the day. These would be perfect to put on a decorative plate during that time!

All you need to put these little guys together are Rolo’s, Mini Pretzels, Candy Corn, Sugar Pearls, and M&Ms. You can click on the link below to check out the original blog post if you are looking for step by step instructions. If you do make them, we would love to see a picture!

Recipe – Turkey Snacks

From the title you may be thinking this is going to be a great after Thanksgiving Snack, but that is not the case! Those little turkeys are great all month long! Use them at the Dinner table as gifts on Thanksgiving or bring them into school or the office as a Holiday treat to share with everyone.

Materials:
Tulle
M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces
Pipe Cleaners
Googly Eyes
Glue
Small plastic hair ties

Instructions:

  1. Place candies into center of a Tulle square, tie together with the elastic.
  2. Cut brown pipe cleaner into 6 inch pieces and roll to about 2 inches. Wrap an orange pipe cleaner around to form beak. Example below.
  3. Add eyes to the sides of your Turkey and use red pipe cleaner for the wattle underneath the chin. Yellow pipe cleaner can be used to create the legs and toes.
  4. Stick pipe cleaner pieces into Tulle to stick into Turkey!
